Anne Nelson, principal and lead design consultant, obtained a bachelors degree in urban and regional planning. After 5 successful years in professional community planning she pursued a career in interior design, participating in Rhode Island School of Design's
(RISD) interior design certificate program.
While in New England, Anne worked with a design firm specializing in national resort, private club, restaurant and high-end residential clientele. In 2005 a move to Florida sparked the opportunity to start her own firm. Anne founded anne nelson design, offering high-end residential interior decorating services to clients on Florida's gulf coast and select clients in New England.
In a short time, Anne has been featured in both SRQ and Sarasota Magazine and is rapidly gaining a reputation as one of Florida's best young interior decorators.
Anne and her husband Jim live in Florida with their two beagles. Her interests include traveling, trend-spotting and spending time on the beach.

Adam Roland, affiliate design consultant, oversees all commercial projects for anne nelson design. Adam boasts a broad design-based background working with architecture, landscapes and interiors and is an adjunct faculty member at Ringling College of Art and Design, where he received his BFA with honors in Interior Design. Adam has served in various roles at several full-service architectural firms in Tampa Bay and Sarasota. His experience in retail, hospitality, commercial and residential interiors includes a broad range of competence, including: conceptual design, permitting, on-site documentation and construction administration.
Adam's professional portfolio includes work with high-profile clientele, Simon Properties (Old Navy, S&K Mensware, Pacific Sunwear, Skechers, Bebe Sport, Anchor Blue) and Quality Hotels and rounds out with exclusive hospitality work on properties such as The Oaks and Palm Aire Country Clubs.
Adam maintains his allied and associate memberships with the American Society of Interior Design (ASID) and the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and is a National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) certificate candidate, having sat for the exam in the fall of 2007.
Living in Florida, Adam enjoys staying active with the arts, remaining passionate about design and connected with Ringling College.

Jim Nelson, general management advisor, is an experienced marketing professional with expertise in business management, service delivery design and branding. Jim assists with business development and identifying growth related opportunities. As a strong advocate for customer service and the brand experience, Jim works to ensure that anne nelson design can answer the demands of discriminating clientele. Jim holds a BS in Marketing & Entrepreneurship from Babson College and an MBA from the Warrington College of Business, University of Florida.
With an active interest in design, learning about interiors started for Jim through discussions with Anne about client work around the house and the office. Jim continues to pursue his interest in interior design through continuing education courses at Ringling College of Art & Design.
Jim enjoys landscaping, photography and kayaking in Florida's warm Gulf waters and, a native of Boston, fishing for striped bass and rooting for the Red Sox will always be favorite ways to pass time.
